Duquesne Light Company Snags 2 PRSA Awards

Duquesne Light Company's (DLC) corporate communications team won two categories Thursday, Jan. 27 at the 2022 Renaissance Awards.

The event, hosted by the Pittsburgh chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), was held at the Carnegie Science Center on the North Shore. It recognized communication campaigns and tactics for more than 30 companies in the Pittsburgh region, including Allegheny Health Network, Highmark, SAE International and 84 Lumber.

DLC won an award in the Events Category for its 2021 All-Employee Meeting, which was held virtually; and another in the Annual Report Category for its inaugural Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Report, "Building a New Table Together."

Director of Communications, Hollie Geitner (pictured right), and Internal Communications Associate, Tabitha Weaver, accepted the awards on behalf of the electric utility.
