PITTSBURGH — POGOH, Pittsburgh’s public bikeshare system owned and operated by Bike Share Pittsburgh, today announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with Duquesne Light Company (DLC). Together, the organizations are connecting DLC’s upcoming new corporate headquarters at Nova Place and its Woods Run campus — both located on Pittsburgh’s North Side — to the POGOH network with free annual memberships. Starting today, all DLC employees now have access to unlimited 30-minute rides all year long on POGOH bikes.
“Our employees power everything we do, and we’re thrilled to give them new sustainable tools to move about our facilities and the city with ease,” said Christine Waller, DLC’s vice president of communications and corporate responsibility. “As we prepare for our move to Nova Place, this partnership with POGOH charges our commitment to building a more vibrant, connected workplace, and we can’t wait to start riding.”
The partnership comes from a broader vision to support sustainable, electric mobility for DLC employees. Seventy percent of the POGOH bike fleet is electric assist bikes, and through a pre-existing partnership with DLC, POGOH is able to charge e-bikes at select stations throughout the network. Due to this partnership, POGOH has more electric charging stations than any other public bikeshare in the U.S.
“Pittsburgh’s partnership with Duquesne Light is a shining example of the power of the Pittsburgh community,” David White, executive director, Bike Share Pittsburgh. “We’re so excited to expand this partnership to reach the DLC community specifically and support their mobility needs at two of their core locations.”
DLC is expected to relocate its headquarters from the Chamber of Commerce building in downtown Pittsburgh to Nova Place later this year. The move prioritizes a holistic employee experience aligned with the company’s core values and future-focused clean energy vision. It also consolidates DLC’s Pittsburgh-based operations within a single North Side corridor, ensuring easy access for employees based at the company’s new headquarters to DLC’s other North Side facilities and its sister company, The Efficiency Network, which is located in the Cardello building.
POGOH will install two new stations in 2026, one at Nova Place and one at DLC’s Woods Run campus. These locations are well connected by protected bike lanes and the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and will support the mobility needs of employees between those locations while connecting them more broadly to Pittsburgh by bike.
