Need help managing your electric bill?
Payment arrangements offer a structured way to address past-due balances
At Duquesne Light Company (DLC), we strive to support our customers beyond delivering safe, reliable power. This includes offering compassionate, effective solutions when financial challenges occur. One option is payment arrangements, which provide customers with a structured and manageable way to address past-due balances on their monthly electric bill.
“The way the program works is that it gives customers the opportunity to pay unpaid balances over time in fixed installments, while continuing to pay their current monthly charges,” said Hannah Walker, DLC’s senior manager of credit strategy and analytics. “This option also helps to avoid late fees and, more importantly, maintain uninterrupted electric service.”
Financial Support Beyond Payment Arrangements
Even with a payment plan in place, we understand that some customers may need additional support.
Various other resources can help alleviate some of the burden of high energy bills, including the Customer Assistance Program and Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
