Duquesne Light Company Announces Executive Leadership Change
Mark Kaplan named Interim President and CEO
The Board of Directors of DQE Holdings, LLC (DQE) today announced Mark Kaplan has been appointed Interim President and CEO of Duquesne Light Company (DLC), Duquesne Light Holdings, Inc., and DQE. Kaplan succeeds Steve Malnight, who is no longer with the Company.
The Board is currently assessing its plans and timing to find a permanent successor to the President and CEO position. There are no changes to the Company’s current business plan and long-term strategies.
Kaplan, the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been a senior leader with Duquesne Light for the past 16 years and has led the Company through a number of initiatives and changes, from capital structuring to the implementation of sustainable operating efficiency programs to corporate reorganizations.
