Duquesne Light Company Announces Changes to Executive Leadership Team Under General Counsel and Energy Policy
Elisa Labriola promoted to vice president and general counsel; David Fisfis to oversee energy policy, external affairs and rates, in addition to being new special counsel to the CEO

PITTSBURGH — As part of Duquesne Light Company's (DLC) ongoing commitment to industry leadership, the company has announced two significant personnel updates within its Office of General Counsel and Energy Policy teams. The changes, which come at a time of rapid change across the energy sector, will enable an even greater focus on delivering solutions for customers as the utility advances its mission to serve as a trusted energy partner.
Effective April 1, Elisa (Lisa) Labriola, current chief compliance officer, will join the executive leadership team as vice president and general counsel. Labriola joined the company in 2012 and brings extensive legal experience to the executive team. Prior to DLC, she held various senior in-house roles and was in private practice at a major Pittsburgh law firm. As general counsel, Labriola will oversee legal, compliance, internal audit and enterprise risk management. She will also maintain her chief compliance officer role as the company searches for a replacement.
Additionally, also effective April 1, David Fisfis, current vice president of energy policy and general counsel, will refocus his efforts to oversee the company’s energy policy and external affairs activities, including leading advocacy efforts with PJM Interconnection and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission related to ongoing challenges around energy security and generation resource adequacy, as well as the company’s rates and tariff structure. Fisfis also will assume the new title of special counsel to the CEO while continuing to serve as a member of DLC’s executive team and corporate secretary to the board of directors.
“Lisa and David have been invaluable members of the organization and will be essential to furthering our clean energy vision in their new capacities, especially as we navigate current industry challenges like energy security,” said Kevin Walker, president and CEO. “Lisa’s extensive background and insights will enable her to have a positive impact in her new role, and I’m honored to welcome her as the newest member of the executive team. Furthermore, David’s longstanding focus on energy policy and industry relationships will help ensure DLC’s future success as we continue adapting to changes within the energy sector.”
