DLC Employees Close in on 1,200 Summer Volunteer Hours
Company’s second annual Summer of Service campaign expected to surpass 2026 goal
Duquesne Light Company (DLC)’s Summer of Service campaign is approaching the end of its second year, and employees are on track to surpass last year’s volunteer goal.
As the Corporate Giving initiative enters its final month, employees have logged nearly 1,000 hours. This year, DLC increased its volunteer-hour goal by 200 hours. The team is already well over three fourths of the way toward reaching 1,200 hours by Aug. 31.
Summer of Service launched in 2025 in response to the devastating April 29 storm that swept through our region and is designed to help address some of the community’s most pressing needs.
“DLC activated the 2026 Summer of Service campaign for the second year in a row specifically in response to the increasing affordability challenges impacting the communities where we live and work,” said Angela Feldbauer, senior manager of ESG and corporate giving. “Through this year’s program, we’re honored to assist the nonprofit partners across Allegheny and Beaver counties that work every day to support residents in meeting their day-to-day basic needs and accessing high-quality workforce development opportunities.”
This year’s campaign has included partnerships with 412 Food Rescue, Boys and Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania, Beverly’s PGH, Pennsylvania Women Work, Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank, and other local organizations.
