Cost-Effective HVAC Upgrades Made Easy

Duquesne Light Company (DLC) is teaming up with HomeServe, an independent company, to bring homeowners a unique, affordable and hassle-free solution for heating and air conditioning (HVAC) system upgrades. The new Advantage Program is an optional lease program designed to help homeowners upgrade to new, high-efficiency HVAC systems to improve home comfort, save on energy bills and reduce environmental impact.
Comfort at a Reasonable Cost
Through the program, DLC customers have a wallet-friendly way to replace their HVAC systems. With no upfront cost and a single monthly lease payment that will not increase over the life of the program term, homeowners get a brand-new, energy-efficient leased HVAC system, professional installation and peace of mind with annual maintenance and covered repairs included. Customers can choose from high-efficiency boilers, furnaces, heat pumps and air conditioning systems, with the option to also add a smart thermostat. The program is administered by HomeServe, and the lease is available through Service Experts, a leading provider of equipment leases.
The Advantage Program builds on the existing energy efficiency program that DLC has in place for residential customers, including rebates, energy audits and additional resources for income-eligible customers.
“Duquesne Light Company is committed to providing our customers with innovative solutions to help them save money on their electric bills and make their homes more comfortable,” said Kristy Stone, DLC’s chief customer officer. “Our partnership with HomeServe and the introduction of the Advantage Program makes it easier and more affordable than ever for our customers to upgrade to high-efficiency HVAC equipment.”
The Advantage Program addresses the financial challenges many homeowners face when replacing an HVAC system, which can be a costly and unexpected expense. A 2022 HomeServe study found that 80% of consumers are interested in a hassle-free program for their HVAC system.
“We are thrilled to partner with Duquesne Light Company to introduce the Advantage Program to their customers,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe North America. “This program is a win-win. It provides a cost-effective way for homeowners to enjoy the benefits of a new, energy-efficient HVAC system while helping DLC advance its energy efficiency goals.”
